Art in the Age of Donald Trump

3pm, Friday, January 27, 2017

ALAC Theatre
Barker Hangar

The election of Donald J. Trump to President of the United States is only the most recent, and major, signal that the geopolitical and neoliberal economic order is in crisis. How are the arts, and artists, to respond? Is the solution refusal, a simple rejection of national and federal initiatives, or of politics outright? Is it activism, an insurgency played out in the streets, on Twitter, and in the media? Join artists and educators for a conversation about the new wave of global populism and what it means for art practices in the present.
