On Friday in the ALAC lounge Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka announced the eight grantees of the inaugural LA Artist Initiative, a grant program for emerging visual artists co-sponsored by the Rema Hort Mann Foundation and the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA).
“It's not you, it’s me, I will always love you dear”
Artist Jon Pylypchuk debuts “It's not you, it’s me, I will always love you dear”, a new large-scale installation at the entrance to Art Los Angeles Contemporary. With the sculptures standing between six and nine feet tall and arranged into small groups, the space becomes the site of a cartoonish political rally.
Solo Projects presented at Art Los Angeles Contemporary
ALAC 2013 hosted numerous solo projects from International exhibitors with booths including painting, functional furniture, sculpture and installation. Solo presentations became integrated onto the floor of the fair to provide a unique, focused presentation from participating galleries.
